"The Pillowman",
Sept. 14th - 30th 2007
A black comedy by Martin McDonagh
directed by Mary Lynn Dobson

In an unnamed totalitarian state, storyteller Katurian is arrested, interrogated, and tortured  by a "good cop/bad cop" team of detectives. The unlikely reason? The grisly events in his stories bear eerie similarities to a series of unsolved child murders. Coincidence? Or is Katurian a killer. And what of his child-like brother Michal? With bold and wicked humor, McDonagh gives us an unflinching examination of the nature and purpose of art.
2004 Oliver Award for Best Play; 2005 Tony Award nominee for Best Play.

"King Lear", Nov. 9th - 24th 2007
A drama by William Shakespeare
directed by Andrew Parks

Before retiring from his throne and dividing his lands, King Lear requests that each of his three daughters declares the extent of her love for him. Although the two manipulative elder sisters are happy to comply, Cordelia - the one who truly loves him - refuses. Lear then banishes his favorite daughter, and his best friend who speaks in her defense. Consumed with doubt and grief when he discovers his own folly, Lear spirals into a madness that not even his few remaining loyal friends can forestall.

"Moon Children", Jan. 18th - Feb. 3rd, 2008
A comedy by Michael Weller
directed by Randall McCann

It's 1965 in an American university town, where seven students in their final college year share more than an apartment. They also share their lives, their beds and their fears about an uncertain future. In sometimes-painful ways, they confront the specters of unemployment and the possibility of being drafted into military service and fighting in a war they oppose. Michael Weller: 1972 Drama Desk Award for Most Promising Playwright.

"The Playboy of the Western World", March 7th - 22nd, 2008
A comedy by J.M. Synge
directed by Jon Heron

In this raucously funny and romantic play, young Christy Mahon flees his home on the wild Irish coast of Country Mayo, claiming to have killed his father. He gains notoriety among the locals - especially the women - who enjoy his tale and celebrate his victories in their competitive games. In short order, Christy attracts the romantic attention of barmaid Pegeen Mike, daughter of the neighborhood publican - until his tale is brought into question, making everyone question what is most important in life.

"Book of Days", April 25th - May 10th, 2008
A drama by Lanford Wilson
directed by  Joseph Porter

When a tornado rips apart the mid-western village of Dublin, Missouri, it lays bare the small-town jealousies, greed, lies and murder which once lay hidden. Ruth Hoch, bookkeeper in the town's cheese factory - while rehearsing the role of Saint Joan in the local Community Theater - begins a crusade to find truth and honesty among a chorus of townspeople after the factory's owner turns up dead in an 'accidental' shooting.

"Lost in Yonkers", June 13th - 29th, 2008
A comedy by Neil Simon
directed by Gordon Wiener

One of Neil Simon's best, this bittersweet comedy is about two teenaged brothers, forced by their father's dire financial circumstances to live for ten months with their stern and remote grandmother in her Yonkers home above the family's candy store. Their plight is eased by their loving but childlike Aunt Bella, and their Uncle Louie, a small-time gangster and tough-talking petty thief. 1991 Drama Desk and Tony Awards for Best Play; Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
